Our client turned to us with the ultimate flooring challenge. To revamp a historic building with contemporary flooring that blended beach-side decadence with durability and soundproofing.

Floor Coverings Used
The Brief
This seafront-listed building, located in one of Brighton’s most desirable districts, embodied historic elegance was in desperate need of a flooring revamp due to the acoustic and impact noise issues with the downstairs neighbours.
Our client wanted to honour the classic interiors, keeping the space uncluttered with a neutral and natural beach vibes. Stress-free functionality was paramount due to him sharing the abode with a four-legged friend.
Our Process
We created a solid plywood base to iron out any uneven surfaces across native floorboards.
Next, we fitted two layers of underlay for cushioning support and superior sound reduction.
After exploring all the options on the table, the client succumbed to the cozy yet organic feel of the Telenzo Centrepoint Carpet. Made of 100% natural wool, it promised durability, low maintenance and connected perfectly with the laid-back beach house aesthetic.
The Result
We created a beach hut made for 21st-century living using clean, minimal lines and natural textures.
The previous soundtrack of noisy neighbours and full-volume acoustics was reduced to a whisper.
Layering entry points with matching rugs helped further protect the living areas from unnecessary dirt and wear and tear.
